Wow! What another great week of the challenge! As you can see by the lists below, the large weight-loss is starting to taper off, but that is typical for this stage of the challenge. Because of this, this is the point of the challenge where people (myself included) start to get frustrated because we are working so hard and the scale is not moving like we want it to. I've just started listening the the book "Atomic Habits" by James Clear. I've just started listening, but I've already learned so much. Here are a couple of quotes that stuck out to me that would be pertinent to what we are doing right now: "It is so easy to overestimate the importance of one defining moment and underestimate the value of making small improvements on a daily basis." "It doesn’t matter how successful or unsuccessful you are right now. What matters is whether your habits are putting you on the path toward success." Keep this in mind as we go through the last half of the challenge. We are doing great things, even if the scale isn't moving. As you are reviewing your goals this week and reminiscing on why you joined the challenge, be sure to celebrate the successes as well. We've got this! Next week when you report your points, you will also be re-taking your measurements and submitting measurement points in addition to your weight points.
