Before I announce the final results, let me get some general business out of the way.
Congratulations on a difficult but great 8 weeks!! So many of you had vacations, work travel, and some even had to fight the ugly beast that is COVID during the middle of the challenge, as well as personal struggles. However, progress is progress and you can all be proud of yourselves for fighting to the end. While there is a winner in this challenge, we are all winners when we make efforts to take care of ourselves. So even if you didn't meet your end goal, you are closer now than you were when we started and that's what really counts. Don't get down on yourself. Keep making your health a priority! As a group (53 people) we lost a total of 347 lbs and 255 inches!! That is INCREDIBLE!!! If you would like to brag about your before and after, send me your picture and I'll add it to the collection of before and afters that will be posted on this website! As stated in the rules the following people will earn part of the pot of money:
An email detailing your total winnings and refunds will be sent in the next couple of days. Once I have given a couple of days for people to respond to any errors I may have made, I will send out the payments via Venmo. Here are the final results for this round of the Building Good Habits Wellness Challenge: Biggest weight loss percentage: Pamela Kuhn with 8.2% from Team Hedgehog! Pamela came in 2nd place during our last challenge for biggest weight-loss percentage, so congratulations for keeping on in the fight Pamela! I'm sure your clothes are getting baggy by now. :) Time to go shopping! Congratulations!! That is an incredible accomplishment!! Person with the most points: We had an 14 - way tie for person with the most points. The following people had the most individual points by earning 100% of their points throughout the challenge: Cheryl Sheppard, Ami Bartholomew, Carolee Adams, Jennifer Penrod, Stephanie Watkins, Tracie Simon, Jenny Capener, Nina Jeffrey, Gina Duncan, Debbie Hymas, Ed Hymas, Heidi Hymas, Melissa Canning, Sue Madsen And the team standings: (remember the point totals are an average of all team member's points throughout the 8 week challenge) This is the first time in years that my team as come in first for the challenge, and I'm so excited. Team Cobra is made up of myself, my brother and his wife, and three other people that signed up for the challenge that needed a team. I didn't know any of them, but they all promised to work hard and do their best, and it worked! 3 out of 6 of our teammates all lost over 7% of their body weight during this challenge. Our motley crew team pulled it off.
Congratulations Team Cobra!! 2nd Place: Lion (1579 points) 3rd Place: Hedgehogs (1550 points) 4th Place: Monkeys (1515 points) 5th Place: Alligators (1481 points) To see the rest of the teams rankings, click this link.
