Congratulations on finishing your first week of the wellness challenge!! Before I announce this week's winners, I just want to remind everyone that if you make a mistake while reporting your points, you just need to go in and report them again, and then leave a note in the comment box that those are the points you want me to use. Also, please know that I am a little lenient during the first point report while people are trying to figure out how things work, but going forward, if your points are not in when I go in to tally them, they will not count for that week. Also, remember to report the points highlighted in the blue cells on the spreadsheet. I had several people report their actual weight instead of their weight points. If you're not using the spreadsheets, please refer to the reporting points page to see how to calculate weight points. As a group we lost a total of 148 lbs!! That's an entire person!! Please be aware that most people have a big loss during the first week of the challenge because of the changes you have made to your diet and exercise. Don't get discouraged in the coming weeks when you start losing only 1-2 lbs/week. That is a healthy weight loss. Here are this week's results: The 2+ Club you will see each week are the people who lost 2 - 4.9 pounds during the week. Before I announce the final results, let me get some general business out of the way.
Congratulations on a difficult but great 8 weeks!! So many of you had a lot of difficult or stressful life events happen during the course of this 8-week challenge, and because of those events, some of you were unable to meet your goals. While there is a winner in this challenge, we are all winners when we make efforts to take care of ourselves. So even if you didn't meet your end goal, you are closer now than you were when we started and that's what really counts. Don't get down on yourself. Keep making your health a priority! As a group (74 people) we lost a total of 615 lbs and 530 inches!! That is INCREDIBLE!!! If you would like to brag about your before and after, send me your picture and I'll add it to the collection of before and afters that will be posted on this website! Your total winnings will be sent via email in the next couple of days. Here are the final results for this round of the Building Good Habits Wellness Challenge: Biggest weight loss percentage: Jarad Duersch 9.2% from Team Cheetah! (We had Pamela Kuhn with 8.9% and Amy Livingstone with 8%.....so close!!) Congratulations!! That is an incredible accomplishment!! Person with the most points: We had an 21 - way tie for person with the most points. The following people had the most individual points by earning 100% of their points throughout the challenge: Shelly Burgener, Tyler Burgerner, Tracie Simon, Joanna Teemant, Carolee Adams, Jared Hawes, Mary Ann Hawes, Seth Hawes, Stephanie Hawes, Natalie Schafer, Paula Hansen, Ami Bartholomew, Gary Bartholomew, Gared Whiting, Jessica Whiting, Michael Faria, Sarah Faria, Lisa Wootan, Nina Jeffrey, Pamela Kuhn, Bekah Chatterley And the team standings: (remember the point totals are an average of all team member's points throughout the 8 week challenge) We’ve done this challenge several times before, but I think something just clicked mentally this time and we were committed to full points. That part just became a no brainer. I honestly don’t think we had extraordinary results, just steady loss as a result of our consistent efforts. Feels pretty dang great! Amy and I have known each other for 14 years. We lived in San Antonio together while my husband was in residency. The military life has taken my family all over the world (currently in WA but heading to Alaska this summer), but Amy and I have managed to keep in contact through it all. That was my favorite part of this whole thing, the chance to connect with Amy so often and to be a support and strength for each other. Amy is just amazing! She took on this challenge while preparing for the weddings of two of her children (with receptions to be held at her home; cue backyard overhaul!) and continued to run her company and care for her ailing mother. She inspires me and is the best teammate ever! Congratulations Team Rhino!! 2nd Place: Gazelles (1710 points)

Oh my goodness! We are in our last week of the challenge and teams are still knocking it out of the park! There are several teams that have only ONE point difference!
