Week 1 Challenge
For those of you who have never done a challenge before, this first week the biggest challenge is going to be figuring out how to get all your points. However, in addition to that, we also have the weekly challenge. The first weekly challenge is always the same because I believe you should never start a task without first setting a goal.
According to Wikipedia "A goal or objective is a desired result a person envisions, plans and commits to achieve"
I love that last part about committing. A goal is not something your going to think about doing, it's something you are going to commit to doing. Henry Ford once said "Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal."
As you go through this challenge you will have temptations. (The fun holidays, birthdays, .....You're sooo tired after a long day of work and you really don't want to go to the gym or workout.) Those temptations however, will only become obstacles if you take your eyes off your goal.
So this weeks Challenge is to SET GOALS! In order to get all 35 points you need to do all of the following things:

So this weeks Challenge is to SET GOALS! In order to get all 35 points you need to do all of the following things:
- Decide what you want to accomplish during these 8 weeks and WRITE IT DOWN and POST IT somewhere you will see it often. Make sure your goals are realistic but don't be afraid to push yourself a little bit. This is not the Biggest Loser, so don't get discouraged when you don't lose 10 lbs/week. One or two pounds a week is a healthy way to go.
- Decide on a non-food reward for yourself when you accomplish your written goal(s). You know, a trip to Hawaii, or the Bahamas, or Australia. Okay so maybe those aren't realistic, but they sure would be nice. At least they're all warm places. But you could buy a new shirt, or shoes, or go get a manicure. My favorite is to go get a massage. ahhhh
- Report your goal(s) to a member of your team.
- Take a "Before" picture. Sometimes it's hard to see the results until you look back and see that picture. No one else has to see these pictures so don't worry about that. You usually see the difference more if you wear tight clothing, or take pictures in your skivvies.
